Summary

Absolwent Wydziału Mechanicznego Politechniki Łódzkiej (1980). Autor ok. 70 artykułów naukowych dotyczących dynamiki łożysk gazowych, dynamiki układów o wielu stopniach swobody z uderzeniami oraz synchronizacji nieliniowych układów dynamicznych. Kierownik lub główny wykonawca w ponad dwudziestu projektach badawczych KBN.
Wykładowca teorii mechanizmów – filozofia wykładów:
Od roku 1983 prowadzę zajęcia z przedmiotu teoria mechanizmów. W pierwszych latach uczyłem się od poprzedników, zaś od roku 1992 sam wykładam teorię mechanizmów, dokonując stałych modyfikacji programu wykładów i ćwiczeń tak, by uwzględniać w tym ważnym przedmiocie zmiany generowane przez rozwój techniki, a w szczególności przez rozwój technik komputerowych. Dzięki temu „moja” teoria mechanizmów zrywa z klasycznymi już metodami modelowania ruchu mechanizmów, w których dokonywano oszacowania średnich wartości zredukowanych momentów siły i bezwładności. W realizowanym przeze mnie kursie prezentuję sposoby syntezowania modeli matematycznych mechanizmów (równań ruchu) umożliwiających precyzyjną symulację numeryczną ich ruchu dzięki zastosowaniu całkowania numerycznego. Klasyczne elementy teorii mechanizmów obecne są oczywiście wtedy, gdy zachodzi konieczność logicznego (strukturalnego) uporządkowania złożonych układów członów biernych i sformułowania związków geometrycznych i kinematycznych koniecznych dla utworzenia równań ruchu.
