Fifty-six scientists from Lodz University of Technology have been included in the latest "Top 2%" list of the world’s most influential researchers. The ranking is compiled by a team from Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier and stands as one of the most prestigious and significant tools for evaluating scientific achievement globally.

The ranking comprises two lists: the first focuses on scientific achievements within a specific year, while the second covers lifetime career achievements. This allows for an assessment of both current research activity and the long-term impact of scientists' work on the development of specific fields. Lodz University of Technology ranks 3rd in the lifetime achievement category and 4th for the past year, based on the percentage of highly cited scientists among Poland's 20 largest technical universities and general universities.
